Here are some frequently asked questions about our doula and photography services, providing you with clear information to help you feel more prepared and confident in your journey.

What areas do you service?

Typically within a 30 mile radius of Elgin, IL. Hospitals may include Sherman, Delnor, NW Huntley, Kishwaukee, Condell, St Alexius, Elmhurst, Northwest Community, Central Dupage, Mercy Medical Center, Good Shepherd, Lutheran General, Evanston and Hinsdale. Birth Centers could be Burr Ridge and North Pointe.

Do you take insurance?

I am not contracted with insurance companies, but can give you a super bill to submit to your insurance for a possible reimbursement.

Can I use my HSA/FSA funds for doula services?

Yes! Doula services are an approved expense by most FSA/HSA funds.

Are you affiliated with Carrot benefits?

Yes! I am an approved partner with Carrot benefits for birth doula services.

Do you have payment plans?

Sure do! I am very flexible with payments and even offer Affirm.

Do you work with other doulas?

I am a solo business, but I do partner with several other doulas in the area if needed for back up assistance.

Is there a discount if we combine services?

You bet! If you hire me for doula services, any photography services are 20% off!

How many birth clients a month do you take?

Typically I will partner with 3-4 families a month. This allows me to make deep connections with my clients and be fully present whenever my attention is needed.

If I am needing more resources to support me during or after my pregnancy, can you help?

Of course! I can help you navigate resources like finding a provider that aligns with your birth vision, additional lactation support, therapy, tongue/lip tie doctors, chiropractors and pediatricians.

Do you give a discount for first responders or military families?

Yup! Being a nurse myself and a passionate supporter of our military, I am happy to help out my fellow first responders and the families serving our country. These families get a 10% discount on all services!

What types of births do you support?

Whether you are planning a home, birth center or hospital birth, I would love to help support you! I believe doulas are essential for all birth types and my goal is to support and help provide a positive birth experience no matter how you choose to birth your baby.
